My brother, the obligation of prayer as a servant of Allah Ta'ala is sometimes considered by most Muslims only as an obligation that must be performed just like that. In fact, when the obligatory prayers have been completed, the focus of the mind is directly on worldly affairs. In fact, after the obligatory prayers there are still other sunnah acts of worship, such as zikir or rawatib prayers (except after the dawn and afternoon prayers) which are clearly syar'i highly recommended. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said,
“ Know, the best practice for you is prayer. "(Narrated by Ibn Majah no. 277, Ad-Darimi no. 655 and Ahmad (5/282), from Tsauban. Sheikh Al-Albani said that this hadith is authentic).
Let us also consider a hadith from Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu , he said that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said,
There aren't affiliananty Death old, the fadestane ajahmari
“ Indeed, the practice that is first counted on human beings on the Day of Judgment is prayer. Allah ‘Azza Wajalla said to His angels and He is the One who knows best,‘ Look at the prayers of My servants. Is the prayer perfect or not? ' If his prayers are perfect, then a perfect reward will be recorded for him. However, if there is a slight deficiency in his prayer, then Allah says, 'Look, does My servant have the practice of sunnah.' If he has the practice of sunnah, Allah says, 'Complete the shortcomings of the obligatory practice with the practice of sunnah.' Then other practices will be treated like this . ” (Narrated by Abu Daud no. 864, Ibn Majah no. 1426 and Ahmad 2: 425. Sheikh Al-Albani said that this hadith is authentic)

The Encouragement of a Servant in Multiplying 'Prostration' to God
Many of us are also content with knowledge about prayer or other worship when acquired at a young age. Then make it the basis of practice throughout life. This is very wrong. Because seeking knowledge, especially more about this religion, is highly recommended, because with it a servant will be elevated in rank with his Lord, as Allah Ta'ala says ,
“ Surely Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who are given knowledge to some degree. (QS. Al-Mujadilah: 11)
People who get a high degree in the sight of Allah are certainly those who are close to their Lord. In other words, the closeness to Allah is manifested in the quality and quantity of the worship they perform, both mahdah worship and ghairu mahdah . Prayer in this case is certainly an indicator of the closeness of a servant to his Lord.
Because, the easier a person is encouraged to perform both sunnah and obligatory prayers, the closer the servant is to his Lord. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said,
" The state of a servant who is closest to his Rabb is when he is prostrating, so multiply the prayers ." (HR. Muslim no. 482, from Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu )
Regarding this hadith, Abdurrahman As-Sa'di rahimahullah explained that the closeness of Allah Ta'ala referred to in the verse above is a special closeness to His servants who believe and do good deeds. Allah the Exalted answered their prayers as He said,
" And when My servants ask you about Me, then (answer) that I am Near. I will grant the request of the person who prays when he prays to Me. ”(QS. Al-Baqarah: 186)
Similarly, the hadith of Tsauban radhiyallahu 'anhu that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said,
“ Let You increase the number of prostrations (increase the number of prayers) to Allah. For you do not multiply prostrations for the sake of Allah, but Allah will exalt you and blot out your sins . ” (HR. Muslim no. 488)
An-Nawawi rahimahullah said in the book Syarah Shahih Muslim (p. 204) about this hadith that the meaning of "increasing prostration" in the hadith is to increase prostration in prayer.

Glory to a Servant Who Always "Prostrates" to God
So noble people who are close to Allah Ta'ala . Gifts are in the form of efficacious prayers, forgiven sins, elevated degrees, and the promise of heaven for him. Allah Ta'ala says,
" And when My servants ask you about Me, then (answer) that I am Near. I will grant the request of the person who prays when he prays to Me . ” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 186)
From Rabiah bin Ka'ab Al-Aslami radhiyallahu 'anhu, he said,
To Head Salambla Purisha a philoking higg har fbm paht padzkar a phiinton obsatiloat old pildering
“I once spent the night with Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Then, I brought his ablution water and water for his wish. So, he said to me, 'Ask me.' So I said, 'I'm just asking to be your best friend in heaven.' He asked again, 'Is there another request?' I replied, 'No, that's all.' So, he replied, 'Help me to realize your desire by doing a lot of prostration (increasing prayers)' "(HR. Muslim no. 489)
This is how to multiply the 'prostration' taught by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam
"Knowledge before doing good deeds" is our main foundation as Muslims who really want the gift of Allah Ta'ala, especially in performing the sunnah prayers that are recommended. Therefore, we must be aware of every matter of worship that is organized so that we are spared from deviant practices that have never been exemplified by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Naudzubillah.
From Umm Habibah radhiyallahu 'anha , the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam , she said, "I heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said,
Old Zahlabah Ghad27 to the Admin-kadify a cam
' It is not for a Muslim servant to perform the sunnah prayers that are not obligatory because of Allah as many as twelve rak'ahs in a day, but Allah will build him a house (palace) in heaven.'" (Then) Umm Habibah radhiyallahu 'anha said, "After I heard this hadith, I have never left these prayers. (HR. Muslim no. 728)
What is the meaning of twelve rak'ahs of sunnah prayer every day? Note the following hadith. From Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said,
Al-83Washe Khan, the Yabiya's Comments
“ Whoever performs the sunnah prayer for twelve rak'ahs in a day, then Allah will build for him a house in heaven. The twelve rak'ahs are four rak'ahs before noon, two rak'ahs after noon, two rak'ahs after dusk, two rak'ahs after evening, and two rak'ahs before dawn. (Narrated by At-Tirmidhi no. 414. Sheikh Al-Albani said that this hadith is authentic)
Reaching God's Love by Increasing "Prostration"
There is nothing better than getting Allah's love for us who are full of sin. Therefore, knowing how much we really need knowledge in carrying out Allah's commands, especially increasing prostration through sunnah prayers, then let us immediately reach for it.
For that, by getting used to performing sunnah prayers starting from rawatib prayers, duha prayers, tahajud prayers, and various acts of worship by prioritizing sincerity and ittiba 'in each performance. Hopefully we get the love of Allah Ta'ala so that we become His servants who are always given guidance anywhere and anytime.
From Abu Hurairah, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
Dadah Kar Da persude, Taarway from the Amirzular Zar'a Zarazi
" Allah Ta'ala said, 'Whoever fights my wali (lover), then I will fight him. My servant always draws near to Me with the obligatory practices that I Love. My servant always draws near to Me with the practices of sunnah so that I love him. If I have loved him, then I will give guidance to the hearing he uses to hear, give guidance to his sight which he uses to see, give guidance to his hands which he uses to hold, and give guidance to his feet which he uses to walk. If he asks Me for something, I will grant it and if he asks for protection, I will protect him. ' ”(HR. Bukhari no. 2506)
Wallahu a'lam .
